Born in Michigan, where she has lived her entire life, Debra graduated from the Kendall School of Design in 1973. She has degrees in Printing (1978), Painting (1988), and Art History (1991), all from Aquias College in Grand Rapids.
Jenkins is represented in many public collections, including the Muskegon Museum of Art, Grand Valley State University, Grand Rapids Community College and the Saugatuck Douglas History Center.
This work was painted at Hoffmaster State Park, near Muskegon, Michigan.
