Photograph adhered to an embossed white card that shows a decorated parlor. The ceiling is patterned, a wide paper frieze tops the walls, even the carpet and throw rugs are rich in florid designs.
Sheer lace curtains. The fine-legged furniture and mantle piece are decorated with vases and figurines.
On the back of the card, written in pencil is this text:

Beautiful day _ I am working hard packing painted bed room set - Appleton Wis

A note included with the photo gave the address and phone number of a Steve Clark, 7130 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis MO 63130, 314-862-2209.
Sally called the number on 8/25/2021 and spoke with Nuyah Shariza, Mr. Clark's widow. She said the photo may be Josephine Clark's cottage in Wisconsin. She also reported that Mr. Clark collected historic photos. As requested, Sally sent a scan of the photo's front and back to Ms. Shariza at cabopulmo7@gmail.com in the hopes of gathering more information.Create Date
