Context

Saugatuck had long been a boating destination. After the burning of the Big Pavilion, aquatic recreation grew even more important to the local economy. The listing for the Ship n' Shore suggest the brochure was printed after 1959 but before 1976, the year the Blue Tempo burned. Peterson's Tower Marine, which is not listed, was still under construction in 1966.
