Four b/w photos and three scans of color photos of Koning residences:
1. [lower left] 3x3" Square print mounted on 5x5" card with embossed border.
John Koning's home at 447 Butler Street before it was destroyed in a 1903 fire
A note to the back of the card says "J. Konings' old house before fire." According to historian James Faasen, "That is their [Koning's] home before the fire built around Nies’ old home at the site. The back half is [John] Nies home picked up, turned to face north and south, and then moved back or east to form back half of new home."
[After the fire, John Koning built a new home on the site. James Schmiechen, in his book "Raising the Roof," speculated that the replacement was a Sears and Roebuck kit home. Research by James Faasen has shown this is impossible since Sears homes were not offered until 1908.]
2. [upper left] 3x4" print of the Ira Koning-Wiley in winter
3-4. Two 2.25x3" prints on rounded-corner paper with three holes on the left edge of the Ira Koning-Wiley house at 507 Butler Street, built circa 1922.
5. Trio of scans of color photos of the Ira Koning house found on the Jack Sheridan drive.
More details about both houses can be found in "Raising the Roof" by James Schmiechen
