The painting depicts the Douglas Union School. Boyce donated the image for use on notecards to be sold to raise funds for the building's restoration by the Saugatuck Douglas Historical Society in the early 2000s. Judy Anthrop organized the card's production. The Boyce card was one of a selection of cards picturing the building.Context
