Description

Watercolor painting by Nat Steinberg behind glass with a heavy, 3.25-inch blond wood frame and 3-inch, white, fabric-wrapped mat. The image is of a hunter taking aim in a meadow or field of golden grasses. A split-rail fence and a bare tree with broken branches reaching toward a cloudy, gray sky complete the scene. The painting is signed in the lower right corner. On the back of the frame, "The Hunting Season" and "1955" are written in pencil.
