Context

Thomas E. Tallmadge (1876–1940) was an American architect and historian who financially supported and spent his summers at Ox-Bow. He designed the first Queen Anne-style Kemah cottage, the Saugatuck Womans' Club auditorium, the new facade for 246 Mary St. He likely influenced Saugatuck's Colonial Revival facelift after World War I.
