Grandpa Letcher was a neighbor of my (Carolyn Dickherber Roth) grandparents, Peter and Delphine McMenamy, living north of St. Paul, Mo. He was born in the "south" in 1821 and lived to be 103 years old. He is the great-grandfather of Mary Patrick Stephenson. The young girl in the photo is my aunt, Rose Ann McMenamy Hackmann.
