Maria Freese Conrades, ca. mid 1800's. Daughter of Anna Margaretha Westheimer Freese Schuenemann and Stephen Henry Freese. The following is in a letter from Many Jane Conrades to Mr. Sandfort dated April 16, 2009: "born a twin October 9, 1835 in St. Charles. There is a record of her confirmation (or baptism) in the Friedens Church. The Reverend Scheuemann married her and Johann Heinrich Conrades on November 22, 1856 in his church in Port Hudson, Franklin Couty, Missouri. I'd love to know how they met. John Henry Conrades was born in Liebenau, Hanover, Germany in 1832. He emigrated when he was 17. A cabinet maker, he founded the Conrades Chair Company in St. Louis," The letter is in the file folder with photo.Create Date
