Santa Clara "Nina" an exact replica of the original Christopher Columbus sailed in 1492. Docked in St. Charles, August 29,1994. People are in the ship. Article in the St. Charles Post. Notes from Archie Scott: "Christopher Columbus' "the Nina" doceked in historic St. Charles around Labor Day at Frontier Park. The "Nina" is considered the most historically correct replica ever built of this famous "little ship". It was constructed in Valencia Brazil by master shipbuilders using 15th century techniques. They used only adyes, chisels, axes and hard saws. It was in the movie "1492" and is owned by the Columbus Foundation touring the United States for the next three years."
