Snow scene, trees on Lindenwood campus, ca 1900. Note on back of picture: "This Picture is the most advanced thing in technical application that was ever run through a printing press. It was printed in four impressions from one halftone plate on a small job press, using bent pius for guides and colored inks that wre never intended for chromatic work. The facilities used were those to be found in the smallest Job Office. The picture was run to prove my color theory and it certainly proved it. Notice that while the plate was run in yellow, red, blue and black, not even black shows in the foreground where the white snow is.
