Description

The Strand Theater located on the west side of 2nd Street in St. Charles. At the time the theater was remodelled in order to add a swimming pool, the top story was removed. The building functioned as a swimming pool in the summer and a theater in the winter. The front of the theater has posters for a variety of silent movies, also a billboard for Tom and Jerry in a slapstick comedy can be seen.
