Cappy Thompson creates rich "mytho-poetic narratives" in her animated artwork. The artist uses a glass painting technique called "grisaille" where black line drawings are painted onto a vessel, and then fired in a kiln to make the line drawings permanent. The scene represents a story from the Pachatantra, a collection of Indian animal fables. The hare, wanting to avoid becoming a meal, tricks the hungry lion into the well.
