Therman Statom’s primary medium is sheet glass. He is known for his life-size houses and domestic forms, where he cuts, paints and assembles glass, incorporating found objects, and creating three-dimensional sculptures. The sandblasted surfaces act as vibrant, painted canvases of color. This example of a house is pierced with an archway or lancet window, in yellow, orange, green and blue colors.
