Label

Ceramic mural, made up of 16 stoneware tiles. The base glaze is a deep indigo black. Over that, the the textured surface is built up by brushing on layers of slip. The finished top layer is a complicated crackle effect called a crawl glaze, and exemplifies the artist's penchant for experimentation.
