Artwork integrated into the streetscape like The Tree Grate Museum and Traveling Stories is preserved along Ninth Avenue. Artwork integrated into the station construction was impossible to preserve in its entirety; however, as part of the redevelopment, an innovative public experience was commissioned to tell the story of community, collaboration, and public art. Kate Clark, working closely with station artists Jack Mackie, Maren Hassinger, Alice Adams and Maggie Smith, envisioned and created the artwork in the 9th Avenue Market entitled What You Have Become.
