Lee Road, Moreland Neighborhood, East View Village, 1910s, Shaker HeightsDescription
Black-and-white photographs of two boys and three girls sitting on a dirt patch with two dogs. A tent is visible directly behind the kids with houses visible further in the background.
Handwritten notes on the back of the photo identify the children as (left to right): Mark [Marshall] Dempcy, John Corlett, Helen Gibbs Mills, Evelyn Murfett, and Priscilla Corlett Duncan. The notes also identify the location as the site of the Shaker Theater at the Chagrin-Lee intersection and the year in the early 1930s. However, based on the children's birth years (all around 1903-1905) and apparent ages, the photograph was most likely taken in the 1910s.Photograph Details
