mong the six men in this black-and-white photo stands Bob Robertson, the longtime radio sports announcer. Robertson, standing in the back row on the right, announced the Tacoma Rainiers for many years beginning in 1960. Standing next to Robertson is Norm Mayer, who coached the Lincoln High School's football team for 23 years and compiled a 140-50-6 record. In 1948, Mayer led the Abes football team to a state title. In the photo, the two men sitting in the front holding papers are (left to right) Gerry Austin and Dill Howell. Standing in back (l-r) is the Bellarmine Athletic Director (name unknown, wearing priest's collar), Bob Levinson, Mayer, and Robertson.
