Description

Doug McClary (No. 42, dark uniform) of Lincoln High School (Tacoma) jumps against Stadium's Herman Washington in this photo taken during a 1958 boys basketball game played at the University of Puget Sound Fieldhouse. Other Lincoln players shown are Dean Haner (No. 11) and Jerry Williams (far right). Stadium players include Jim Johnson (No. 17), Henry Jarvis (No. 4) and Dave Kerrone (foreground). The two teams met again in the first round of the 1958 Class 4A state tournament at the University of Washington, where Lincoln won, 78-54. Lincoln then lost to eventual-champion Richland. Stadium went on to win the 1959 state championship.
