Norm Mayer, who is talking in the microphone, presents some awards with the support of some cheerleaders from local high schools in 1966. Mayer was an all-conference guard in football for the College of Puget Sound in the late 1930s. He started coaching football at Lincoln High School in Tacoma and coached there for 23 years, compiling a respectable 140-50-6 record. He's got the third most wins in Pierce County and is one of only 12 high school football coaches in the country to win over 100 games.
