The upper left photo was taken at the 1964 Grid-Go-Round game and Norm Mayer is coaching his Lincoln Abes. In the upper right photo, Mayer is holding a trophy after the Abes won the Grid-Go-Round game. The lower right photo is of Mayer when he played football at the College of Puget Sound in the 1930s. He was an all-conference guard for the Loggers. After playing three sports in high school in Long Beach, Calif., Mayer wen to the University of Washington on a football scholarship and transferred to the College of Puget in 1935. He coached football at Lincoln High School for 23 years beginning in 1945 and compiled a record of 140-50-6.Lexicon
