Larry Scott (left) and Norm Mayer hold a football with “100 V” written on it. Written below the photo is “Larry Scott – 1961, All-Capitol, All-City. Beginning in 1945, Mayer coached football at Lincoln High School for 23 years, compiling an impressive 140-50-6 record. He's one of just 12 football coaches in Pierce County to win at least 100 games in their careers. He's third all-time. Mayer picked up his 100th victory in 1961, which is commemorated in this photo. Scott was one of Mayor's top players that year.
