Members of the 1951 boxing team at the College of Puget Sound (now University of Puget Sound) pose with coach Homer Amundson, right. Identified boxers are Virgil Larson (left), Terry McLean (center), Gary Featherstone (second from right) and Pat McMurtry (right). "Irish" Pat McMurtry was 103-2 as an amateur before turning pro in 1954. McMurtry's signature win was an unanimous decision over George Chuvalo in on Oct. 17, 1958 at New York's Madison Square Garden and broadcast on the Gillette Cavalcade of Sports.
