In the late 1940s, Peggy Ruehle lets loose with shot bowling wearing a dark dress. Ruehle and her husband, Bill Ruehle, were avid bowlers in Tacoma, where bowling has been popular for a long time. The Chalet Bowl in the Proctor District in Tacoma dates back to the early 1940s and is the oldest operating bowling alley in the state.
