Description

Windsor del Llano of Tacoma Tides uses his chest to control the ball during a American Soccer League match at Cheney Stadium in 1976, the Tides' lone season of existence. The Tides finished with a 10-6-5 record, losing to the eventual ASL champion Los Angeles Skyhawks in a semifinal match. Del Llano, who was born in Bolivia, made one appearance for the United States men's national team on August 3, 1973 against Poland. He was capped 30 times for Bolivia from 1975-81. Del Llano played in 30 matches in 1974 for the Washington Diplomats of the North American Soccer League, scoring two goals. He returned to the ASL with the Miami Sharks in 1988.
