Ruth Babbit (front row, second from left) and Emily Moore (front row, third from left) pose with other women at the Lakewood Ice Arena. Babbit and Moore performed in many Ice Capers shows at the arena. By 1955 the show had eight performances and 175 skaters. The rink hosted numerous shows and was the entertainment hub for Tacoma residents until 1982 when part of the building collapsed and the rest was demolished.
