Al Hoskins plays “airplane” on the ice with a 10-year-old Lois Secreto at the Lakewood Ice Arena in 1942. Secreto became one of the great stars to come out of the ice arena. Secreto won the Northwest Juvenile Girls title in 1942, teamed with Jimmy Grogan in 1945 and won the Pacific Coast Junior Pairs Competition. She was also second in the Junior Girls event. In 1946, Secreto won the Northwest Novice Ladies title followed by the Northwest Senior title in 1947 and a second Pacific Coast Senior Ladies title in 1950. That win qualified her for the national championships where she tied for first place in the freestyle skating event. After graduating from Stadium High School, Secreto joined the Shipstads and Johnson Ice Follies.
