Description

The Lakewood Ice Arena was home to many top level skaters when it opened in the 1930s, including the young skaters pictured; Diane Jacobsen, Marlene Jackson, Jack Boyle, Patsy Hamm and Nancy Roberts in 1949. Both Boyle and Hamm were later inducted into the Tacoma Sports Hall of Fame after achieving many successes on the ice including novice and national championships.
