Patty Hoyt, shown skating in April 1944, skated at the Lakewood Ice Arena during its heyday. Hoyt skated with Tacoma Hall of Fame inductees Lois (Secreto) Schoettler, and Jack Boyle at Lakewood in the 1940s-50s. The Ice Follies was a touring show that featured elaborate production numbers and costumes and would later evolve into the Ice Capades to include several Olympians.
