Jimmy Grogan and Barbara Ann Scott perform in an Ice Capdes show. The arena was home to many top level skaters when it opened in the 1930s. It was a popular hangout spot for families and couples, and teenagers. By 1955 the show had eight performances and 175 skaters. The rink hosted numerous shows and was the entertainment hub for Tacoma residents until 1982 when part of the building collapsed and the rest was demolished.
