Lois Secreto and Diane Jacobsen pose together on the ice at the Lakewood Ice Arena. Secreto won the Northwest Novice Ladies title followed by the Northwest Senior title in 1947 and a second Pacific Coast Senior Ladies title in 1950. That win qualified her for the national championships where she tied for first place in the freestyle skating event. Jacobsen was one of the numerous young skaters that called the ice arena home. As a member of the Lakewood Figure Skating Club, Jacobsen was under the tutelage of national coaches and went on to perform in numerous ice shows.
