Description

The cast of the 1948 Ice Capers show, which performed at the Lakewood Ice Arena, includes Nancy Roberts, far left in front row. The arena was home to many top level skaters when it opened in the 1930s. By 1955 the show had eight performances and 175 skaters. The rink hosted numerous shows and was the entertainment hub for Tacoma residents until 1982 when part of the building collapsed and the rest was demolished. T
