Description

John Mulvey, pictured in the 1950 group comedy “Down on the Farm” skated at the Lakewood Ice Arena. Mulvey teamed with Patricia Hoyt and began touring in 1947, starting a long stream of local skaters who toured with ice shows like the Ice Follies. The arena itself hosted numerous ice shows to great accolades and had as many as 175 skaters performing in eight shows by the mid 1950s.
