Description

Instructors Shirley (last name unknown) and Helen Hatcher skate at the Ice Palace in Tacoma. The depth and talent of such skating professionals led the Tacoma area to produce numerous state, regional and national championships. The rink was well used between hockey and figure skating until, after an abandonment, the roof collapsed in 1986 and was later demolished. "Instructors - Ice Palace - Tacoma Wn - Shirley and Helen" (written in white at top of photo).
