A photo postcard of the Lakewood Stars — Patty Green, Patty Hoyt, Margaret Clark and Donna Rogers — is pictured as the four of them skate together at the Lakewood Ice Arena. The arena opened in 1938 and quickly became an entertainment hub for Tacoma area residents of all ages. The rink continued to provide skating until part of the building collapsed in 1982 and there rest was demolished.
