Sally Price, Lakewood Winter Club, accepts her Northwest Sr. Ladies 1st Place and Winner of "Babbit Artistic Award" from judge Ruth Babbit, a former skater at the ice arena. Price, who was awarded the Most Artistic Performance for the Lakewood Winter Club, also staked in the Ice Follies Show. By 1955 the show had eight performances and 175 skaters. The rink hosted numerous shows and was the entertainment hub for Tacoma residents until 1982 when part of the building collapsed and the rest was demolished.
