Joby Moore Cleary poses wearing a sequined costume from the Ice Capers show in 1952 at the Lakewood Ice Arena. Moore and partner Shirley Givens won the Pacific Northwest Ladies Pair title in the early 1950s. The arena was home to many top level skaters when it opened in the 1930s. By 1955 the show had eight performances and 175 skaters. The rink hosted numerous shows and was the entertainment hub for Tacoma residents until 1982 when part of the building collapsed and the rest was demolished.
