Frank Gillihan played for the University of Puget Sound, which was called the College of Puget Sound in the late 1920s, and played against such colleges as Gonzaga, Battleship at Bremerton, Ellensburg Normal, Pacific University and the University of Washington at Tacoma. It was the game against the Huskies that is believed to be the first night time football game played in the Northwest on November 1, 1929.Lexicon
