Description

The Tacoma Eagles were a Tacoma-based minor league baseball team. Woodrow Red is one of the outstanding players on this team. Red is one of the best pitchers in fastpitch to come out of Tacoma. In 1943, Red led the Tacoma Teamsters to state and regional titles, and from 1946 to 1970 he was selected to all-star teams almost every year. He was inducted into the Tacoma-Pierce County Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.
