Stephen C. Brightman poses with a broom and stone at the Lakewood Ice Arena in 1978. Brightman competed for the Lakewood Curling Club. The curling club was one of many popular sports played at the rink including hockey and figure skating. The ice arena was the entertainment hub from its opening in 1938 until 1982 when part of the building collapsed and the rest was demolished. Photo donated by Arline Brightman.
