Description

Symra is a John Alden-designed cutter rigged sloop built in 1941 by Seattle’s Edison Boat Shop, a program in which students built boats. The boat was at one point owned by 1961 Stadium High graduate and former football capitan, Bill Larsen. As of 2013, the boat was owned by Mark and Nancy Haley of Tacoma Yacht Club. Today, when it’s not under sail, the 34.2-foot vessel is powered by a 27 horsepower engine.
