Dick Burrows, posing in this 1945 photo, played basketball for Stadium High School (Tacoma) in 1943-44 and 1944-45. The 1945 team qualified for the Class 4A state tournament, finishing 1-2. Burrows wrote to his coach, "This was one of our best seasons in basketball because of the way you coached us. We had lots of fun together because you were one of us.
