Description

John Harbottle, along with wife Pat Lesser Harbottle, became golfing legends in the Pacific Northwest. John Harbottle won four Washington State Amateur championships, the U.S. Senior Amateur and was a four-time champion of the Pacific Northwest Senior Amateur. Harbottle, who played golf at Seattle University, still holds the United States Golf Association (USGA) Senior Amateur Championship stroke play qualifying record with a 36-hole score of 136, set in 1993. Pat, who also played golf for the men’s team at Seattle University, won the U.S. Girls Junior Championship, the U.S. collegiate crown and the 1955 U.S. Amateur.
