Here is a black-and-white photo taken in 1961 of the Tacoma Boys Club's baseball gear and uniforms taken that year of the Little Giants baseball team. The Tacoma Boys Club's rich history began in 1940 when the organization started locally on 25th and Yakima Street. Today, the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound are at 14 sites across Pierce, Mason and Kitsap Counties, averaging 1,300 youths participating in sports each day throughout the year. The Boys Club movement began in the United State during the Civil War and has spread across the country, giving millions of youths an opportunity to have fun playing sports.Lexicon
