Description

The Tacoma Boys Clubs' baseball team for 15-year-olds, the Cheney Studs, pose for a team picture in 1968. With Jim Cozad as their coach, the Cheney Studs won the junior city championship in 1968. Cozad was no stranger to winning. As a player, Cozad played on the Woodworth Contractors that won the Tacoma city league championship in 1956 and in 1957 that team placed second in the nation. Over the years, the Cheney Studs had a rich winning tradition.
