Description

The Tacoma Boys Club has offered young boys an opportunity to play football for many years. The organization's rich history started in 1940 when the club was first formed and met on 25h and Yakima Street. Then two years later, the Tacoma Boys Club at 711 South 25th Street was dedicated on April 24, 1942. The club was located in an area with a high rate of juvenile delinquency. It was founded by Judge Fred Remann. In 1965, the organization changed its name to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tacoma and Pierce County.
