Description

From the mid-1960s to the early 1970s, the Puyallup Vikings boys basketball team won six straight Puget Sound League titles and compiled a 76-4 record in that span. The Vikings, led by head coach Rich Hammermaster, won the 3A state championship earning Hammermaster the Washington State Coach of the Year honor. The ’71 Viking team finished 23-1. Pictures is the Puyallup team that finished as the PSL Southern Division champions with a 15-6 record (8-2 league).
