Description

University of Washington crew coach Al Ulbrickson and Tacoma radio personality Jerry Geehan examine a German shirt. It is customary in rowing for teams to swap uniform shirts after a race. Ulbrickson’s famous “Boys in the Boat” team won gold at the 1936 Olympics in Germany, three years before Adolph Hitler and Nazi Germany invaded Poland to start World War II.
