Description

Eight football players, believed to be from Lincoln High School in the early 1930s, pose for an undated team photo. Identified players were Ole Brunsted (top row, second from left) and Jess Brooks (bottom row, second from right), Brooks, the starting fullback, led Lincoln to the unofficial state title in 1931 and went on to earn 10 varsity letters at the College of Puget Sound from 1932-36. Brooks played third base for the Kansas City Monarchs of the Negro American League in 1937 and was inducted into the Puget Sound Loggers Hall of Fame in 1974.
