Description

The House of David was a barnstorming exhibition basketball team representing the religious cult the Israelite House of David based in Benton Harbor, Mich. Though the House of David baseball team was better known, the basketball team made regular exhibition tours of the country. In this photo, brothers Harry McLaughlin #3 (front row, left) and Willie McLaughlin #10 (back row, second from right) from Clover Park High School were part of the team. The brothers went on the play for coach Marv Harshman at Pacific Lutheran, and Harry was one of the leading scorers in the country for the Lutes in 1947-48.
